Just lately i added the sicilian kan and only the seasoned ones give me headache!
I appreciate the time he takes to teach and explain. However I think that introducing the engine/database/bots aka the computer to the game is a mistake because it’s like an answer sheet for a test. Allowing players to use the engine to help them when they’re playing an opponent. Bobby Fisher learned chess by studying there was no engine used in his games

Thanks for rekindling my interest in the French. Years and years ago I had read a chess book that dissed the French saying it leads to a very cramped game for black.

Thank you for all the stupid kids you talk into playing a positional opening that they 100% fuck up below 2000 once their opponent does not play one of the worst assumed moves you're showing and not understanding the motives of their own position, and playing the french myself in ~300 online games of the advanced I've never faced 5.f4 and just showing old theoretical lines of Millner Barry gambit, selling it as lowkey easy win for black is just bs. Why not teach better solid opening theory for your audience? Just do it like that Gotham clown and add a clickbaity preview picture for the clicks but teach anything that shows the competence of a GM.

I thought you cannot castle once you've been put in check, am I missing something? Is there an exception if you don't move the king and instead block the check? 21:11

Why black didn't land on a5 as first move. As white pawn on c3 would be pinned.

I can't bring myself to play the French Defense. It's just so boring, maneuvering around and threatening the d pawn. Not my style, but you provided very extensive analysis.
