Ryder Gambit – Chess Opening

The Ryder Gambit is an aggressive line in the Blackmar–Diemer Gambit. It starts with the moves:

1.d4 d5
2.e4 dxe4
3.Nc3 Nf6
4.f3 exf3
5. Qxf3

  10. My win against Ryder gambit and Blackmar-diemer in bullet, blitz and rapid is 100% which proves these openings are unsound but it may be fun for beginners to play BMG in blitz.

  20. I’ve learned to watch for white bishop takes on C6 and queen takes on C6+. I just didn’t know the gambit name and it’s variations. Now I’m ready. Thanks Kevin for your great posts. I’m becoming a better chess player than my peers by watching your videos.
