🔹 The Most Brutal Way to PUNISH Scholar’s Mate Trick –
The Wayward Queen Attack (also known as the Danvers Opening or the Patzer Opening) is one of the most common chess tricks played at the club level, which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5.
Of course, the main idea of White is to follow up with 3.Bc4 and checkmate you with 4.Qxf7# which is the Scholar’s Mate. Additionally, their strategy is to continue playing normal chess if Black (you) defend against the checkmate threat.
However, you should not let them get away with playing this weird, desperate attack. That’s why, in this video lesson GM Igor Smirnov teaches you the brutal way to punish this Wayward Queen Attack or early queen attack.

Hello
Thank you so much. My friend has already know to play Wayward Queen correctly, but I don't think he would know this surprising line.
Thank you 🙏👍🫡
I'm stuck at 730. What's the best opening for black and white to learn ?
This some GM level counterattacking! Beautiful lines.
White should play 4. d3 0-0 5. be2 … to guard the King and castling soon. Don't waste a Queen move.
I love how much fun he's having with these now
I love the video. Thanks a lot👍
Good day igor, i want to thank you for this "effective" way to overcome the wayward queen "nightmare" since i have suffered a lot. Your way of explaining this line is faboulous & simple to learn. I promise you to study it very well in order to make an agressive, brutal & massive attacks. Have a pleasant day…
this things rarely work for 1500+
Thank u master…thank ❣️
lol this is called the kiddie countergambit
Niiiice) thank you
I have a great idea for an episode. Brumenfeld countergambit. It ain't so known and can be pretty good for black. Maybe you'll be interested. Btw great episodes. I love them.
6:36 Isn't that just a M3 for black? With Be3. If Knight blocks then you just take it and win. If Bishop recaptures, you retake with knight and have two different Mate threats that cannot both be stopped. Qd1 & Qd2, each square is protected by one of the knights. You can take one of them or move the white knight to cover one of the squares, but you can't stop both.
love your videos Igor and I recommend them to everyone I know that's interested in chess. they are only getting BETTER! love learning new tactics and your incorporation of music and jokes is money keep up the great work every time I get an email that you have a new video I get excited
Your vids seem so cool. Seem? My opponents have never moved the way you say they most often do? So far I'm 0-14 when trying to apply your lines lol
