  1. Today this opening was used in a classic tournament. And by a GM. And he won.
I watched it live. And none other than Pia watched it live as well, whom here she says that it won't be used in a classic tournament hehe

  2. Would that not be "Bull opening"? Since Ferdinand the bull is a bullXD

Sorry for the correction. But your explanation convinced me even further that it should be called the "Bull opening" πŸ™‚

  3. I have a big smile the whole video, Gracias 😊

  4. Please show them the Bongcloud, i’m dying πŸ˜‚

  5. When Anna played knight E2 her father instantly put his glasses on to check it was real jajajajja

  6. I love your family…..Happy birthday GM your such a great man

  7. The way GMs laugh at everyone else's perfectly fine openings shows just how good they are when it comes to theory. LOL

  8. I loved the slightly skeptical look on your mom's face vs the genuine intrigue on your dad's face. Great video haha

  9. Anna, I have played this opening (white and black) maybe 8-10 times now and I have one every game with it…I think it is amazing.

  10. Mom's quip: "There's a reason it's never been played before". πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  11. What a wonderful daughter, the parents are so lucky…can’t say enough about Anna’s personality and how smart she is, and also how she gets along with her parents..

  12. Crazy… when I was a teen, this was my go-to opening. Saved me from rushes, but I was never really able to develop a strong mid game with it.

  13. That move I made It a lot of tienes olaying because I Dont know how to play hahaha. Im Happy at least someone make It a name

  14. Threatens Knife F5. Also this is classic Boomers trying to understand Zoomers πŸ˜‚

Show them the Bong Cloud sometime!

  15. It's what I played in 2nd grade. You can't take ownership!

  16. not being funny Anna but i remeber using this exact opening against a Dr. whilst i was in Hosptial in 2020/2021 when i was 30. i am 34 in August. The Dr. said he liked how i was protecting my King and Queen . True story!

  17. you are so positive! I love it** Makes me happy πŸ™‚ πŸ˜πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ€

  18. You can now show your mum "The Bull Opening". First 4 moves are same but on the 5th and 6th move you put your knights on c3 and f3.

  19. The Dax is ready to lose a tournament for the joy of her child. 100% dad behavior

  20. Ferdinand is a bull who won't fight.

That doesn't make him a cow!

  21. An opening in chess is only brought about by the response of the other persons moves. Starting off with white and doing those moves just for the sake of moving into that position makes no sense.

First white makes a move then Black and so on, each moving in turn to the response of the last move.
Improvements are found over time to the persons last move and so on.

What is considered the opening in chess?

The opening in chess refers to the first several moves of the game. "Book" chess openings refer to common sequences of moves that have been studied and are generally well-known by professionals. Many such lines are well documented in authoritative references like The encyclopedia of Chess Openings (ECO) and others

You cannot just make up an opening just for the sake of it and call it what you like. It has to be played at top level chess in general and played for a reason, i.e a sequences of moves.
The sequence of moves are played for a reason and again not just for the sake of it and calling it what you like.

Hell if that were the case all of the people playing chess could make up a name and call it what they like…. It has to make sense.. I think my sweet you might have mad cows disease. RANT OVER.

  22. 7:04 Wakanda forever, mr Cramling is Black Panther β€” confirmed

  23. 6:11 someone plz explain the context is your dad a legit real one πŸ˜‚

  24. Anna, inspiring as you are, theres more to life than chess.

  25. Well I think every kid tried that a few times to see if it works, I did in the 80s

  26. I try to work but I have to watch so many delighting Videos hereπŸ˜‚

  27. the emotion is see is "stares motherf*ckerly"

  28. I hope you got your dad something else too, although I'm sure he's grateful that you didn't name it after him!

  29. I DID play this and screwed up the end game but did well for about ten moves

  30. Real fun to watch such a fun family πŸ˜‰ doing a fun thing on a birthday 😍

  31. tried this on an app so good the engine thinks its a mistake. πŸ˜‚ anyway I won against the 400 rating computer on using this one thanks a lot that I found this opening. πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

  32. Not trying to psychoanalize your family system, but your 'cow opening' is possibly both being rebellious towards your parents as well as approval seeking at the same time. In that family-emotional playing field it seems to me as making a playfully vulnerable move with a strong defense. Creating space in this type of playingfield like this kind of suggests to me that you have supportive parents, but they do mean business, have expectations and are not holding back criticism.

  33. Many, many people may find The Cow opening udderly silly. Still–you should milk it for all its worth. As one person suggested: t-shirts, mugs, and so on. You need a hook, though.

  34. best family ever cutest mom and u have the best dad so much respect cant wait to see u play en el torneo de franciiaaaa got get themmmmm πŸ˜‰

  35. Aunque quizΓ‘ la vaca no de mucha leche, tienes una familia maravillosa. Da mucha felicidad veros. Enhorabuena.

  36. I really like how your mom is always true to how she feels like. That's so rare to see women that are so firm and at the same time very kind. You actually got this quality from her I believe. Funny how I still watch your videos from time to time even if I'm not into chess much. You're very charismatic and whilst I'm aware people are like that nowadays for "the show" I truly believe you're very genuine. All the best to you and your family.

  37. Lol…. dificult to move after that…

  38. What a joy your daughter is! Happy Birthday to you, sir!
