Checkers it is
I genuinely never heard about that pawn thing I had to go check it out myself
i got a chess ad at the start lmao
I know nothing about this game but it looks like something that could be interesting to learn
Those arrows are looking quite sus…
I know how to win no matter what I am a big fan of this Chanel but I am a kid
omg!! finally a video with an explanation of the game that I can truly understand! thank you so much for this video!! you're an awesome teacher! thank you thank you for teaching the game so well!
I wish I learnt this when I was younger.. My 33 year old brain was fried within the first 15 mins :S
I like to compare en passant to “attack of opportunity” in d&d. Someone in combat decides to run passed you, and you gain the opportunity to swing at them.
I used to play when I was 10 to maybe 13.. 14 years old. I’m now 58 on there cusp of turning 60 and ready to play again. Impressed with what I still sort of remember… But I’m learning so much more just on this one video. I hate to admit how many times I’ve watched it and how many 3 x 5 cards I’ve written down to remind me of things I have lost!
I just wanna say thank you for doing a phenomenal job explaining and showing the game! As I progress I look forward to watching more and more of your videos!
27:45 shouldnt it be stakemate instead of checkmate?
your grandparents are responsible
it is a very good method for me
I want to add in something, when you decide to castle, DO NOT bring in your Rook to f1 and expect the King will jump over, it will not. I’ve been that dummy and did that because I thought “eh samething” but it’s not, the King will not move.
i love the Iron Man cut very nice
I need to watch this video first to beat my grandpa
Let me stop reading the comments and listen to my friend ❤😮😂😂😂

I'll come back here when I finish Queen's Gambit
Assuming I get hooked

Great video!! I enjoyed every minute of it!!!!
Always good to get new people in to chess. Thanks again for the great video Gotham!
I have seen sets with clear and green pieces as a variant; as you could expect, clear moves first.
Me after watching the queens gambit:
Thank You for the info!
Can anyone suggest some best books & games app for learning chess? I would happy of your kind suggestions 😊😊
I’ve started playing chess when I was seven but I haven’t played in a while. I also have this crush on a guy and I found out that he plays chess. This inspired me to learn a bit more so maybe one day we could play a game together 🙂
He was like “right?! (You got this)” and I’m like hahah no
13:24 i did that aggainst my dad when i was 7 year old, good times
"Levy, you're already confusing me. I don't feel safe." HAHAHA lol💀
13:14 i don't understand how this works, surely the pawn at h2 could move to h4 and take the queen?
Started today and I'm hooked… I never thought I would fall in love with chess.. And man it is fascinating.
Great stuff! I’ve been playing on a coaching app for a few weeks and this video helped add The next layer of understanding. There is so much info in here, but it down to something that I can understand. Thanks for the effort in putting this together!
