  1. Suddenly my ears started to ring from the guy's voice, too hi hi high!

  2. Can't get the app kid bayonet on android…please advise

  3. Can u do more caro-kann please as I struggle to get an advantage against it as white

  4. It's great to see you upload a new video! Thank you, Dereque really appreciate it ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. As always, an excellent walk-through of the variations! Thanks!

  6. Thanks for these videos Dereque. These are definitely among the best opening instructional videos I have seen. I hope you would consider doing an introductory video on the Petroff's Defence. I'd like to learn this opening, normally I reply with the Caro-Kann against 1.e4. Keep up the good work!

  7. He's back! ๐Ÿ˜€

Great video as usual, keep it up!

  8. Awesome Dereque…and very very thankful to improve my opening phrase…

  9. What make your videos so great is that you go through several variations. Also, I really like the OTB style ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. awesome. I play the french I always have trouble with the exchange

  11. can you please make the kid classic for free

  12. Hooray! I'm a big fan of the French (and these opening videos) but always get bummed out having to play the "Groan", exchange variation. Thank you Dereque for keeping it interesting, appealing and more pleasant to look forward to! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  13. first time i've heard someone call the exchange french 'interesting' lol

  14. Great to see you back, your videos are awesome and one of a kind, can't find this anywhere else

  15. Dereque with the beard! But yeah, I exclusively play the exchange as white because I really hate the French, and would rather just make it a layout I'm more familiar with. Thanks for the video.

  16. Dereque I really enjoy all of your videos. They help a lot. Thank you.

  17. This video can't come at a better timing for me! I've just began picking up on the French defence, but I didn't know anything other than the "boring symmetrical line" you showed.

Out of curiosity, I've came across this line in my personal random exploration:
    1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 exd5 4.Bd3 Bd6 5.Nf3 Nf6 (yes, the boring line!)

But I thought 6.Qe2+ looks interesting. If Black blocks with 6…Qe7, then after 7.Qxe7+ Bxe7, arguably Black has made some concession by retreating the Bishop from the more optimum d6 square to e7. If Black plays 7…Kxe7, position would just be a mess (White is still slightly better, due to Black's King stuck in the middle, I suppose.)

If 6.Qe2+ Be6, 7.Ng5 can force a Knight-for-Bishop trade at the expense of a few moves. Not sure if you have views on this line?

Thanks in advance, and please continue with the many good openings videos!
