  8. The mate in 2 moves will be achieved by the following 2 moves : (1) Nf3 check, the obvious response by white has to be : Kf1 forced , and the follow up move by black will be : (2) Bh3 checkmate . Thanks .

    Knight c6 -> d4 (check)
    Then king forced to take bishop from e2 -> f2

    Queen d8 -> f6 (check)
    Then king has 2 options – e1 / e3

    If e1 then Queen f6 -> f1 (checkmate)
    If e3 then Queen f6 -> f4 (checkmate)
