In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov will share with you the 5 best chess opening traps in the Center Game. The Center Game is a chess opening after the moves 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4, and after 3.Qxd4 Nc6, it pretty much looks like the Scandinavian Defense in reverse.

The best part is that GM Smirnov will share with you the traps for both sides, White and Black. 😊 You can use and implement these traps in your practical games easily. Moreover, you are not only going to see these beautiful games, which are really amazing, but also you will be able to train your tactical vision along the way; Smirnov will show you how you can find such beautiful tactical shots.

Even though the Center Game is not a very powerful chess opening, you can use it from time to time, especially in your blitz games. There are a lot of chances one could fall into these traps!

  1. Trap number four white can take knight lose queen four rook not bad exchange
Trap number three black queen is not to take the bishop but candefend with F6

  2. Trap number three black is not forced to play queen takes bishop but can play C6 equalizing the possition

  3. In third trap, why not move black pawn to C5 to block check?

  4. We gotta go buy stock of The Queen's Gambit. Chess is going to be BIG just because of this series. My goodness, how all the guys she played against were such GENTLEMEN, I think watching the guys who truly had to fall in love with Beth is the best part of this series. She was a survivor with very little empathy. Surely, the Chess team and/or the Chess club in all high schools will be having LOTS more gals playing. Females DO think differently than the males. Total factoid that will help women learn the language of men talk, men's perspectives, and filters. The way women process information, input, rules…women just might take over the world of chess. Challenging the chess guys. All gals need to learn chess! Classy habit.

  5. How come in trap #2 Black doesn't take the Queen with F pawn instead? Would prevent the checkmate

  6. At time line 7:53 What we will do as white if black capture white with pond f7

  7. this man sounds like he is out of a 1917 world war 1 radio broadcast XD i love it

  8. In third trap 13:15 if black Qd6 he protect the queen and the king after white go Bd6 black go d6 u go Rd6 Kd6 and u dont have anymore the number advantage(sad moments 😢😭)

  9. I only play scandinavian and center game and I didnt know these, its pretty cool.
I figured out immediately the rook sacrifice when you paused but I had never thought of it before. Didnt think there were traps. But once you know its possible you can figure it out if the position is familiar enough

  10. Спасибо огромное Игорь за сильные и интересные уроки на прекрасном английском языке практически без акцента и все понятно perfectly fine.

  11. Great Channel! My son and I really enjoy watching it. It’s an eye opener on Chess tactics

  12. Yang pilih Allah like yang pilih Dajjal abaikan.

  13. 0:53 Wait. Why is Black not just hammering after that Queen with Pawns? Black Pawn to B5, Queen takes, Black pawn to A6, Queen takes, and White loses the Queen to Black rook.. I just got hit with this opening as Black, and the opponent just sat the Queen in the middle, and it was painful . I can only conclude, an aggressive Queen opening seems not well handled with dual Knights. You need to get your pawns and Bishops out, and play a lot of defense, maybe hold off on castling, so that move can also be used to defend the middle with small pieces.

  14. If someone does any of these moves on me.. m never playing again👎

  15. On opening trap #1, why would black resign after you'v captured the queen?

  16. How can I see the move? Your narrative is irritating. Bullshit

  17. The first trap is baffeling to me because I dont understand why the black forfeits the match? Just because he lost his queen? The black can play pawn to H6 and challenge the bishop, so the white can either lose his bishop to thr pawn or lose his queen to the knight, either way I dont see a mate here and dont understand why the black forfeits the match, can somebody explain?

  18. I have lost more times a hard game lavel of CPU-7, I came here and watched this, and I won the next game I opened,

  19. 3:23 "… all moves by both sides are pretty natural…" No, starting playing the game with your queen is not a natural move unless you are a master at a very high level and even at that level is neither elegant nor an ordinary move.

  20. Trap 2 wont work of he takes Queen with the other pawn

  21. In the first trap why doesn’t black w H6
